Report: Nearly $4K in guns stolen from Union home

UNION, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Union man returned home to find shattered glass and missing guns on Tuesday, according to deputies.

Thieves bused out the back door at the Oakland Road home sometime between noon and 3:30 p.m., according to the Union County Sheriff's Office report.

The victim reported to deputies that the only items missing was 10 guns and an iPod.

Deputies said the victim was able to give investigators the serial numbers for the stolen guns, which were worth a total of $3,650, plus the value of the iPod.

The most valuable weapon stolen was a Winchester .270 rifle with wood stock worth $700, according to the report.
