Kelrick Wayne Richards was arrested and charged for one count of burglary on Monday by the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office.

According to officials, the 22-year-old Richards reportedly broke into a store in Cassatt and stole cigarettes and smokeless tobacco.

Deputies say they were able to identify Richards using surveillance video. A statement from the Kershaw County Sheriff's Office noted that Richards was on probation from a previous burglary.

Investigators say they went to Richards' residence where he lived with his mother and brother. With the consent of Richards' mother, investigators found the cigarettes and the clothes Richards wore during the burglary.

Deputies say Richard admitted his involvement following the discovery.
