BEDFORD TOWNSHIP, MI (Toledo News Now) -

Ecorse, Michigan Police say missing Bedford Township teen Hayley Turner has been found safe.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office was investigating the case as a possible abduction.

We're told the Monroe County Sheriff's Office was called to the area of Dean Road and Crabb Road in Bedford Township Thursday night around 10 p.m. on a report of a young woman who became missing under suspicious circumstances.

The sheriff's office says Turner was on the phone with a friend when she stopped at the intersection to investigate a person lying on the side of the road. While still on the phone, the victim told her friend that an unknown male person had a gun and that he was following her. The call was then disconnected.

The sheriff's office says the friend then called Hayley's father. Her father went to the area and found Hayley's car idling at the intersection around 10:10 p.m.

During a neighborhood canvass, a neighbor told deputies they had seen a sedan with its parking lights activated. This vehicle was parked along Dean Road at Crabb Road. It was reported one of the running lights was not working.

Around 9 a.m. Friday morning, a person who lives in the area called the sheriff's office and said that he or she had seen a white male, 18 to 24 years old, wearing brown khakis and a blue shirt with a girl matching Hayley's description near the intersection of Telegraph Road and Erie Road around 4 a.m. Friday.

At 3:30 p.m. Friday, the Ecorse Police Department said that Turner had been found alive. No other information was provided at that time.
