TUSCALOOSA, AL (WBRC) -
Opening statements were given on Tuesday in the trial of a Tuscaloosa woman accused of fatally shooting her ex-hubsand.
Prosecutors called Tracey Grissom a "cold blooded killer" who gunned down her ex-husband, Hunter, two years ago because he was "worth more dead than alive." They say that she killed Hunter for insurance money.
But Grissom's defense attorney says she suffers from post traumatic stress disorder from a violent marriage to Hunter.
Grissom has pleaded not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect.
We will have additional coverage of the trial starting at 5 p.m. during FOX6 News. Watch on air, online at FoxAlabamaLive.com or through the WBRC News app.
