Medical condition forces driver off road and into Lexington Arby's

Police say a medical condition caused a driver to run an SUV off a busy road and into a fast-food restaurant Tuesday morning.

Lexington Police say at about 10 a.m., the vehicle ran off Sunset Boulevard, over bushes and into an Arby's restaurant. Employees were the only people inside the restaurant at the time. None of them were injured.

The manager of the restaurant, Cleve Murdock, says he was getting ready to open the store when the SUV careened into the front window.

"The next thing you know, you heard a crash and there was an SUV staring at me," said Murdock.

The driver was taken to the hospital. No word on his condition.
