HOMEWOOD, AL (WBRC) -

Homewood police are asking for help locating a UAB student who took a taxi from Birmingham to Huntsville on Friday and hasn't been seen since.

Elizabeth Koury is a 20-year-old white female who left her parents' home in Homewood on Friday for class at UAB, then caught a cab to Huntsville.

Police say Koury was last seen around 1:15 p.m. Aug. 1 near the Huntsville International Airport. Investigators are working to find out whether or not she actually boarded a flight.

Koury was last seen wearing a red T-shirt, blue jeans and blue, plastic frame glasses, but police say she may have switched to contact lenses.

Anyone with information about her location is asked to call Homewood police at 205-332-6200.
