SPARTANBURG, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A Una man known as "Rabbit" is accused of holding a man captive armed with a gun and screwdriver, then robbing him of his car, according to deputies.

Spartanburg County deputies said they were called to a home on Sibley Street after a man awoke to a loud noise on Saturday.

According to deputies, Rabbit busted through the front door and was seen standing over a friend sleeping on the couch pointing a pistol at him and holding a screwdriver. The man ran out of the house to call 911 then saw both men leave in the victim's car, deputies said.

The man only knew the suspect by his nickname and that he knew the victim for a few years, according to deputies.

After later meeting back with the victim and doing a photo line-up, deputies said the suspect was identified as Donnie Watson.

According to arrest warrants, Watson abducted the victim from the house, then stole his car while armed with the gun and screwdriver. Warrants also state Watson threatened to kill the victim.

Watson, 48, was later arrested and charged with two counts of assault and battery first-degree, kidnapping, armed robbery, burglary first-degree, reckless driving and hit and run property damage, according to online jail records.
