Flash flood warning for central Richland County expired

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

A flash flood warning issued for central Richland County has expired.

Heavy rainfall was occurring across portions of Columbia and Fort Jackson with rainfall rates of between 3 and 4 inches an hour.

Due to heavy runoff, flooding could continue after the rain has moved out.

Locations in the warning included but were not limited to Fort Jackson, Forest Acres and Acaradia Lakes.

Gills Creek, portions of I-77 and Five Points can also experience flooding.
