MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – A Spirit Airlines plane with a cracked windshield was diverted to Myrtle Beach International Airport Friday morning, officials confirmed.

Spirit Flight 610 departed from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida at 9:30 a.m. Friday, and landed in Myrtle Beach at 11:20 a.m. after being diverted, according to flight information on the Spirit Airlines website. It was originally scheduled to arrive in Boston at 1:54 p.m.

The plane landed without incident, confirmed Kirk Lovell with MYR. He did not know where the plane departed from, or where it was headed.

A replacement plane was set to arrive at MYR at 2 p.m. Friday and expected to take off with the passengers from the diverted flight at 3:20 p.m, Lovell said. Flight 610 is now scheduled to arrive in Boston at 5:14 p.m.
