COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

A cold front pushing through the Palmetto State could touch off some severe weather for the Midlands Tuesday.

There's a good chance we'll have a few rounds of showers and thunderstorms Tuesday afternoon and evening. There is a slight risk for severe weather, with damaging wind and small hail the greatest threats.

Behind the front, expect sunshine for Wednesday and Thursday with a noticeable drop in humidity and cooler temperatures in the upper 80s.

Unsettled weather returns over the weekend, as we get back to a more typical July forecast with isolated afternoon storms.
