COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

It's a creative new take on an age-old hairstyle.

"Gabby Bows" are a double-faced, double snap barrette that helps hold the end of the hair.

Columbia mom Rozalynn Goodwin, along with her 7-year-old daughter Gabrielle, say the headache of losing barrettes and often not being able to see the design was frustrating.

Three years ago it started with an idea.

"The lessons I've been able to teach my daughter, I know I'll be able to continue to teach her about perseverance, about not giving up about believing in her dreams and pursuing them, it's just been an awesome experience already so I'm really excited about what the future holds," said Rozalynn Goodwin.

Gabby's Bows will be available in Walgreens stores in Georgia and South Carolina at the end of July.
