COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Pharoh Cooper and Elliott are the latest Gamecocks to be added to college football awards watch lists.

Cooper, a sophomore receiver for USC, has been named to the Paul Hornung Award watch list. Cooper earned All-SEC Freshman honors a year ago after recording 20 carries for 202 yards, completing 2-of-3 passes for 29 yards and a touchdown, and catching three passes for 54 yards. Cooper also returned 16 kickoffs averaging 22.4 yards per return and he had nine punt returns for 40 yards.

The 5-11, 201-pound Havelock, N.C., native is one of 47 players on this year's Hornung watch list. Of those 47 players, Cooper is just one of 13 sophomores to make the watch list.

Elliott Fry will also be representing the Gamecocks on a prestigious watch list as the sophomore place-kicker takes aim at the Lou Groza Award.

As the first true freshman to kick for South Carolina since 1996, Fry lead the Gamecocks scoring 99 points while setting a school record with 54 extra points. Fry helped the Gamecocks pick up wins against Florida (19-14) and Missouri (27-24, 2OT) on their way to posting an 11-2 record in the 2013-14 season.

Fry becomes the fifth Gamecock to be added to an award preseason watch list.
