GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A husband and wife are facing multiple charges in connection with a string of Upstate robberies early on Tuesday.

Dispatchers said there were three robberies reported in Greenville County and two in Anderson County from about 2:45 a.m. to 6:30 a.m.

Greenville County deputies said a man and a woman who were believed to be involved were located during a traffic stop at the Shell station on Bessie Road shortly before 8 a.m. Deputies identified the suspects as Traci Tate, 40, and her husband Stephen Tate, 53.

Anderson County dispatch said a female suspect tried to rob the Spinx on Highway 86 in Piedmont about 4:45 a.m. and just minutes later the 7-Eleven on Easley Highway in Piedmont was robbed. Dispatchers said the suspect is believed to be the same woman who held up two stores in Greenville County an hour earlier.

According to Greenville County deputies, the first robbery happened at the QuikTrip on Grove Road at 2:47 a.m., and then at 3:39 a.m., the 7-Eleven on Augusta Road in Moonville was robbed.

Then at 6:23 a.m., Greenville County dispatch said the Sav-Way on Piedmont Highway was also robbed by the same female suspect.

Deputies said the woman was seen leaving the stores in a gold Buick, believed to be a passenger in the car.

The store manager of the 7-Eleven on Easley Highway said the woman came inside, grabbed beer and asked for cigarettes, then told him she had a gun in her purse and demanded money.

He said he handed her cash and she left, getting in the passenger side of the car.

According to Anderson County deputies, the woman also tried to buy a 12-pack of Natural Light beer at the Spinx, but was denied because she did not have an ID. The woman threatened to have a gun but left before taking anything, according to the deputy's report.

They said no one was injured in the robberies.

Traci Tate and Stephen Tate went before a bond court judge in connection with the robberies in Greenville County around 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Anderson County deputies said warrants have been signed on the pair for attempted armed robbery and armed robbery for the incidents in their county.

The husband and wife were each charged with two counts of armed robbery, one count of attempted armed robbery and three counts of conspiracy in Greenville County, according to the sheriff's office.

The judge denied them bond.
