Richland Co. deputies seek man wanted for larceny

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

The Richland County Sheriff's Department is searching for Anthony Irvin Murray.

According to Sgt. Curtis Wilson of the Richland County Sheriff's Department, Murray is wanted for larceny and receiving stolen goods.

Authorities say Murray broke the rear passenger window of a 2001 Mazda Tribute on Windsor Shores Drive on April 28. The suspect stole  a woman's purse containing cash, various credit cards and identification. Murray also stole a 1992 Buick LeSabre from a man's home before the vehicle was recovered a few blocks away according to authorities.

Deputies say they have collected fingerprint evidence that identified Murray as the suspect. According to the Sheriff's Department, Murray is described as a black male standing 5'10" and weighing 163 pounds with black, medium-length hair and facial hair.

Tipsters could receive up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of anyone responsible. Citizens are urged to submit anonymous tips to CrimeStoppers at 1-888-CRIMESC (1-888-274-6372).
