It took what most would believe to be a sting operation for Springdale police to catch a suspected Peeping Tom, according to police officials.

Springdale Police Chief Kevin Cornett says his officers arrested 28-year-old Dennis K. Curry on Monday evening after an extensive five day operation known only as "Operation Tommy Boy" -- a name which appears to be a nod to one notorious Peeping Tom scene in the 1995 Chris Farley and David Spade comedy that we dare not explain here.

The operation, according to Cornett, involved a plain-clothes officer posing as a new tenant in a home on the 1100 block of Wattling Road.

During those five days, Cornett says, officers identified Curry, but needed to catch him in the act in order to charge him.

That chance finally came around 10:30 p.m. when Cornett says Curry peeped into a bedroom window at the home.

Police say Curry fled the scene, but officers eventually caught up with him and made an arrest.

Cornett says Curry confessed to several instances police were investigating.

Curry has been charged with four counts of Peeping Tom/peeping, failure to stop on police command, and resisting arrest.
