The Richland County Sheriff's Department Gang Task Force and the City of Columbia Police Department Gang Unit are actively seeking two people following the reported assault of a 15-year-old in late May.

Devan Nelson, 17, and Jasmine Sanders, 18, are wanted in connection with the May 27 incident.

Officials say a group of several "known gang members" went to the intersection of Plain Street and Truman Street to "terrorize the community." As a result of the meeting between rival gangs, a 15-year-old was hospitalized after being struck in the head with a brick, investigators said.

The boy suffered a fractured skull.

Three others, Saquan Praylow, 18, Rodney Friday, 17, and Rolomono Cooke, 18, have been arrested and charged with assault and battery by mob.

Sheriff Leon Lott and Chief William "Skip" Holbrook have vowed to work together to "eradicate gang activity" within city and county limits.

If you know where Nelson and Sanders might be, you are urged to call Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC. You could be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1000.
