Three arrested after police find stolen goods belonging to Charlotte Knights pitcher

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Three people were arrested over the weekend after police say they stole several items belonging to a pitcher of the Charlotte Knights.

Officers arrested the three men after a traffic stop on the 700 block of W. Kingston Avenue on Saturday evening, according to the arrest report.

Steve Brown, 35, is charged with possession of stolen goods.

Terrance Malachi, 30, is charged with possession of stolen goods, simple possession and resisting a public officer.

Malcolm Smith, 26, is charged with second degree trespassing and possession of stolen goods.

Police found a variety of items in the vehicle with the men belonging to 31-year-old Daniel McCutchen, a pitcher for the Charlotte Knights.

Among the items listed as recover are an iPad, laptop computer, 12 pairs of shorts, Adderall and several IDs.

Total value of the recovered property was estimated at $50,605.

All three men were processed in the Mecklenburg County Jail.
