The Georgia Bulldogs have once again signed on to play one of college football's highest-profile programs.

The Dawgs officially announced Wednesday they have agreed to a future home-and-home football series with Notre Dame.

"We're just excited to be able to have this opportunity for our student-athletes, our fans, and for everyone to experience something we've never experienced before. That's football in South Bend, and also to have Notre Dame come between the hedges," says Georgia athletic director Greg McGarity. "I think it'll certainly be memorable games."

Georgia will travel to South Bend on September 9, 2017, with the return match in Athens on September 21, 2019.

It will be only the second and third games between the two proud programs. Georgia earned a 17-10 victory in the 1981 Sugar Bowl, the only other matchup between the teams.
