'Sleepy Hollow' to use prop guns for scenes Monday

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) -

Crews with Sleepy Hollow used prop guns while they filmed in downtown Wilmington Monday.

People in the area were warned ahead of time to expect to hear gunfire while they filmed on Front Street between Chestnut and Grace.

The scenes will be filmed between 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday, June 16.

According to a film permit from the city, in the scene, characters pull up to a bank, hear a gunshot and see people running from the building in panic. One character runs from care and enters the bank with weapon drawn.

Sleepy Hollow is currently filming its second season in Hollywood East.

New episodes start airing on FOX Wilmington on September 22.
