RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Two arrests were made Wednesday in connection with a meth lab explosion that happened just after 8 a.m. on Tuesday in Northeast Richland County.

According to Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott, 34-year-old Jeremy Bowen and 29-year-old Holly Baier were both arrested at a family member's home in Attalla, Alabama, and charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful disposal of methamphetamine waste, unlawful conduct towards a child, hazardous waste management act, and manufacturing methamphetamine in the presence of a child.

The couple were taken into custody by United States Marshals Service.

Lott said that the Baier and Bowen could face additional charges pending the results in Alabama for possessing methamphetamine chemicals in the vehicle they were traveling in.

A third suspect, 20-year-old William Tenuto, will be charged with manufacturing methamphetamine, unlawful disposal of methamphetamine waste, and hazardous waste management act once he is released from the Augusta Burn Center in Augusta, Georgia, according to Sgt. Curtis Wilson.

Baier and Bower's 6-month-old child was in the home at the time of the explosion and has been taken to an Alabama hospital for observation.
