Convicted Bloods Street Gang member sentenced to life

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

An Irmo man who was arrested as part of a major street gang bust in 2012 will spend the rest of his life behind bars.

Calvin James Hall, 43, was sentenced Friday in federal court. A jury convicted Hall of being a member or associate of the Bloods Street Gang, racketeering, drugs, sex, conspiracy and other related charges.

Federal prosecutors say Hall was one of 39 gang members and associates indicted and arrested in 2012. All 39 have been convicted and sentenced to prison time.

Hall was shot in May of 2011.
