PROSPERITY, SC (WIS) - Caring for wounded warriors and children with life-threatening diseases.
On Saturday, the Freedom and Hope Foundation hosted its "Pond Catfish Rodeo."
Children with special needs had the opportunity to catch some fish in Prosperity.
It was a chance to bond with the children and expose them to a new experience.
"We do this year round," said Terry Cotney with the Freedom and Hope Foundation. "It's very exciting. It's very rewarding to touch the lives of these children, some who perhaps are fatherless also. Most of our children have special life-threatening diseases - cancer, cerebral palsy, MS and MD."
The foundation also goes hunting and fishing with veterans as well.
