ORANGEBURG COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - Investigators have arrested two people after deputies located meth making materials in a vehicle following a car chase in Orangeburg County.

The Orangeburg County Sheriff's Office arrested 23-year-old Kristi Nicole Gladstone of Summerville and 28-year-old Ricky Dewayne Johnson of Moncks Corner.

Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said it all started Tuesday night when officers were called to I-95 and Highway 301 after the South Carolina Highway Patrol conducted a car chase that ended in a crash.

Authorities arrested Gladstone and Johnson who were found on the scene.

In addition, troopers located what appeared to be material involved in manufacturing meth in a backpack located in the suspects' car. Ravenell said the items in the backpack were found to be inactive.

Gladstone and Johnson were charged with manufacturing methamphetamine.
