CHARLESTON COUNTY, SC (WCSC) - A judge set bond for one of the two charges against a 23-year-old James Island man charged in the murder of Atlanta Falcons Roddy White's brother.

Darnell Claven Lafayette faces charges of  murder and possession of a firearm during a violent crime in the death of 21-year-old Tyrone Moore.

A judge set bond for the weapon charge at $25,000, according to court documents. But Lafayette remains behind bars because only a circuit judge can set bond for the murder charge.

White was present at the bond hearing, but did not speak during the hearing.

Lafayette on Tuesday before noon. Hours after that arrest, the Charleston County Sheriff's Office announced witnesses had told investigators Lafayette shot Moore Saturday morning at the Lake House Club on Mosquito Beach Road.

The responding deputy reported that when he arrived at the club he saw a large crowd of people gathered around Moore. According to the sheriff's office, Moore was lying on the side of the roadway next to a Camaro near the the club.

Two witnesses told investigators that Moore had driven to the club in the Camaro, but did not know if he came alone or not. The responding deputy said Moore was lightly breathing but was unresponsive, and had what appeared to be a gunshot wound in his upper back.

Investigators reported locating three shell casings near the Camaro.

An affidavit released on Tuesday states Lafayette walked up to Moore and shot him twice with a gun, then fled on foot. According to the sheriff's office, deputies believe Lafayette knew who Moore was before the deadly shooting.

Officials with the sheriff's office say they are continuing to investigate the incident and ask anyone with information to call police. In addition, CCSO officials say they are going to take a look at the business license of the Lake House Club, and also increase patrols in the area in light of the death.

In a statement released over the weekend, Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank described White as part of the Falcons family, adding, "and families stand together in difficult circumstances."
