Expect at least a wet day on Thursday as a front moves through the Midlands and South Carolina, bringing the threat of flooding with it.
According to First Alert forecaster Tim Miller, look for periods of showers and thunderstorms with very heavy rain.
Miller says a few of these storms may be severe, but he's not seeing the chance for a big outbreak of storms.
Flooding is the main issue as these storms will move from south to north today, producing up to 2 inches by the time everything clears out this evening.
However, after Thursday's showers, expect cooler, but drier air on Friday and the weekend with high temperatures in the 70s and lows in the lower 50s.
