Two sought in string of vehicle break-ins near Chapin

Authorities are asking for the public's help to identify two men wanted in a string a vehicle break-ins in Richland County.

From April 4 to May 5, two suspects broke into multiple vehicles in Chapin and the surrounding area. 

On May 5 in the 300 block of Sienna Drive, the suspects entered a 2000 Honda Civic through the driver side door and stole the victim's wallet containing his South Carolina driver's license, credit cards, and a debit card.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott said that the vehicle, captured on video surveillance equipment is possibly a 2013 or 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 silver or grey pick-up truck.

The suspects may be connected to at least three other break-ins, Lott said. 

Authorities describe one of the men as white, early to mid-20s, about 6 feet tall, slightly heavy with dark colored hair. The second man is described as white and appears to have a slim build.
