COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) - Quarterback Tajh Boyd was a rising player on NFL draft boards for most of his final two seasons, until falling out of the spotlight since the middle of his senior year at Clemson.

Despite the drop off, the one-time Heisman Trophy contender believes he'll surprise experts again once the NFL draft starts Thursday night. Boyd thinks he'll be selected on the second day, most likely as a third-round pick. Most projections have Boyd in a group of second-tier QBs, many who'll be available Saturday when teams finish with rounds four through seven.

Boyd has no regrets about returning for his senior season as the face of the Tigers program, which gave him a the chance to finish his degree, break dozens of school records and refine his game.
