Police release photos from N. Main St. bank robbery

Columbia police have released surveillance photos from a bank robbery on North Main Street Tuesday.

Police say the incident happened at the First Citizens Bank at 2621 N. Main St. at about 11:30 a.m. when a man walked into the bank and passed a note to the teller demanding money. The note said he had a weapon.

After the teller gave the man some money, he ran off. Officers set up a perimeter near the bank.

Nobody was injured.

Surveillance photos of the robbery are attached to this story. Police described the man as Hispanic or white with dark skin, about 5 feet, 5 inches tall, 150 pounds with a stocky build and a brown goatee. He had a tattoo on his left ring finger.
