Drug trafficking arrest leads to 4 other arrests

RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Sheriff's Deputies say the arrest of a man on drug trafficking charge led to the arrest of several others on similar charges.

Richland County Sheriff Leon Lott says deputies arrested Ralph Pitt Jr. on several charges related to drug-trafficking. Lott says after receiving tips that led to Pitt's arrest, they found information that was used in the arrests of four other people. Deputies served warrants at addresses on Market Hall Court in Irmo, and Clark Street and Hope Street in Columbia.

Deputies arrested Deleon Summersett, Angela Homewood, Gergory Sellers and Christy Bell on drug-related charges. All were taken to the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

As a result of the investigation, deputies seized 65 pounds of marijuana, scales, cash , hashish oil, electronics and five vehicles.
