A strong cold front pushing through the state brought rain and high winds to the Midlands on Monday afternoon.
A Tornado Watch was in effect until 9 p.m., but there were no reports of any actual tornadic activity.
The Midlands saw plenty of rain. Rain totals will range from a bit less than an inch in the northern Midlands to about 2 inches in the southern Midlands.
One upside to the rain is that it's doing a great job removing the pollen from the air. It'll take a few days before the levels climb back to very high.
We'll see a few scattered showers on Tuesday with a few more on Wednesday. By the end of the week we'll return to bright sunshine and highs in the lower 80's.
There could be some left over moisture to give us some showers through midday Tuesday and again Wednesday morning before everything clears out by Wednesday afternoon.
Temperatures will be in the low to middle 70s during the next several days.
