Four arrested after shots fired

Four people were arrested Friday night after a fight ended with shots being fired.

Evansville Police were called to the 5500 block of Carriage Drive where witnesses say several men were fighting, and at least two of them had guns.

14 News is told the men left in different cars before officers arrived. A witness was able to give police a description of the vehicles.

EPD says one car returned to the scene then turned around to leave.

Officers were able to stop the car in the parking lot of Eastland Place where they arrested 16-year-old Keshaun Beckton. Two women in the car were questioned and released.

Authorities say further investigation led them to 1405 Harrelton Court where police found three suspects from the shooting incident. Officers say they found two handguns, one that was stolen, and ammunition as well.

Police arrested 17-year-old Darius Hamell, 16-year-old Derrick McKinley and 20-year-old David Gray.

During the arrests, officers learned Beckton, Hamell, and McKinley were from St. Louis, Missouri.

After speaking to St. Louis Police, investigators learned all three were wanted for questioning in a recent homicide in St. Louis.

All four men are in the Vanderburgh County Jail. They are being charged with criminal recklessness C felony, four counts of criminal recklessness D felony, and criminal gang activity D felony

EPD says Beckton, Hamell, and McKinley are being charged as adults.

We're told a building and car were hit as a result. No one was injured.
