Keep the Midlands Beautiful hosting electronics waste recycling and shred event

Keep the Midlands Beautiful in partnership with Pratt recycling and YP cares will be hosting an electronics waste recycling event on April 5 from 9:00 a.m. to noon.

The recycling event will be held at Blythewood High School located at 10901 Wilson Blvd, Blythewood, SC 29016.

The following electronics will be accepted for recycling from Richland County residents only:

  • Computers (laptops, monitors, CPU's, keyboards, printers, scanners)
  • TV's
  • Copiers
  • VCR and DVD Players
  • Fax Machines
  • Telephone Systems
  • Cell Phones
  • Household electronics including stereo's, Radio's, PDA's and Electronic Game Systems

Electronic Waste must be recycled and not placed in the garbage in accordance with the SC Code of Law, 48-60-05 et seq. Residents should keep electronics intact for the purpose of recycling. Please, no refrigeration units or appliances that contain Freon of any kind.
