Orangeburg man found guilty in 2008 murder

GEORGETOWN, SC (WMBF) - A Georgetown County jury found Terron Gerrhard Dizzley guilty of murder after a 4-day trial.

Dizzley is sentenced to 35 years in prison.

This is the second time the 15th Circuit Solicitor's office has tried the case. In 2012, a jury was unable to reach a unanimous decision in the case and the Judge declared a mistrial.

Dizzley was charged with murder of Andre Evans, Jr. in 2008.

The murder occurred on December 1, 2008.

The solicitor's office states Dizzley had a business relationship with the Evans, and shot Evans multiple times at the Paradise Club, a sports bar owned by Evans, in Georgetown County. Dizzley was wearing a mask and gloves at the time of the murder and was identified by Evans as the assailant shortly before Evans died.
