NEWBERRY COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

The Greene County District Attorney's Office in Tennessee says one of the teen fugitives captured in Newberry County on Thursday has been charged with murder.

Greene County Sheriff Steve Burns said the district attorney is charging 16-year-old Zack Blanchard with the death of his 36-year-old father, Robert Blanchard.

The three other teens, 15-year-old Liam Lawler, 16-year-old Shelby Riley, and 15-year-old Daniel Richards-Birchfield, will be charged with accessory after the fact of first-degree murder and theft over $1,000.

An incident report from the Greene County Sheriff's Department in Tennessee says a social worker with the Greeneville High School in Greene County alerted deputies that he believed 36-year-old Robert had been shot by Zack.

That social worker also told investigators he thought the teen fled with a group of his friends.

The report goes on to say the social worker accompanied deputies to the Blanchard home on Snapps Ferry Road where they eventually located Robert's body in a pool of blood in a nearby chicken coop.

Investigators arrived a short time later and found Robert's 2006 Kia van missing along with the teens and at least eight firearms.

That van was found hours later Thursday morning in Newberry County by an eagle-eyed South Carolina Highway Patrol trooper, who ran a background check on the van and found out it had been reported stolen.

The trooper began to chase the teens. The chase eventually ended at the intersection of Highway 176 and state Highway 34 when the van crashed and the teens fled on foot into a nearby wooded area.

Later that day, the teens were located following an intense manhunt by five agencies and at least 80 law enforcement officers.

The teens will also be charged with failure to stop for an officer and possession of stolen goods in South Carolina, Newberry County Sheriff Lee Foster said.

Foster also said it's likely the teens wont even be in court until Monday morning, which would leave them in custody at a jail in Newberry County over the weekend.

Foster said Thursday that a motive has yet to be established in this case.
