FOREST ACRES, SC (WIS) -

Burglary, kidnapping, and sexual assault charges are coming for a Columbia man accused of breaking into two Midlands residences and sexually assaulting two women just two days apart.

The Columbia Police Department and Forest Acres Police have charged 35-year-old Nathan Daniel Martinez with criminal sexual conduct, kidnapping, and first degree burglary in both cases.

Forest Acres Police say Martinez entered a home in the Brickyard Condominiums on Bethel Church Road back on March 27 and assaulted a woman and tied up a girl in their home.

Authorities say Martinez was armed with a handgun and took several items before fleeing the scene.

Two days prior on March 25, Columbia Police say Martinez performed a similar crime, but instead took his victim to a location off of Air Base Road and sexually assaulted her there.

Investigators created a composite sketch of Martinez based on a description provided by the victim in the Forest Acres incident.

Officials say the sketch was the determining factor in helping police locate Martinez.
