SUMTER COUNTY, SC (WIS) -
A Wedgefield woman is under arrest after Sheriff's Deputies say she shot at a man's face during a fight at a Sumter bar.
Deputies were called to the club on Ravens Nest Lane at about 2 a.m. Sunday morning. The 22-year-old alleged victim told deputies 35-year-old Yvonne Nicole Holladay shot at his head several times during an argument in the parking lot.
According to the incident report, the victim told investigators he had been wrestling with another man in the parking lot when Holladay tried to back up her truck over him. The victim said when he confronted Holladay about trying to run him over, she pulled out a handgun, pointed it at his face and pulled the trigger, but the gun didn't go off. He told deputies Holladay loaded the gun and shot at him two more times, but he turned the gun away from his head so he wasn't shot.
The victim and two others told investigators as Holladay drove off, another man shot at her rear tire. Deputies say they found Holladay and her truck at her home in Wedgefield, along with the pistol she's accused of firing. The tire of Holladay's truck was flat by the shot fired at it.
Investigators confiscated both guns as evidence. Holladay was taken to the Sumter-Lee Regional Detention Center on a charge of aggravated assault. Charges have not been filed against the man who shot her tire.
