2 arrested for stealing farm equipment

LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Lexington County Sheriff's Department deputies arrested two men last week after they broke into a storage building off Peachland Road near Gilbert.

Darryl Jerome Hill, 43, and his father Jerry Myer Hill, 68,were arrested and charged with third-degree burglary.

Deputies say they broken into the storage building and took four metal pig feeders, one motorized land tiller, one steel tractor bumper and one commercial dishwasher worth a combined total of about $750.

Both men were released on bond Friday.

Arrest warrants allege that at about 1 p.m. on Thursday Darryl Hill and Jerry Hill unlawfully entered a storage building in woods across the street from a home on Peachland Road, Lexington County Sheriff James R. Metts said.

Deputies were able to recover the equipment and return it to the owner.
