Oregon PD looking to identify credit theft suspect

Oregon Police are asking for the public's help identifying a man they say somehow loaded a victim's credit card number onto a card with his name and went on a shopping spree.

Police say the man bought an Xbox at Walmart, more than $500 worth of games at GameStop and a 60 inch TV from K-Mart.

It is not clear how the man go the victim or victims' credit card information, but Oregon Police say there are a few was to avoid becoming a victim. First, check your credit and debit card statements often. Report any fraudulent activity as soon as possible.

Police say consumers should also be on the lookout for skimmers. Skimmers are small devices placed over ATM or credit card slots designed to read credit card numbers. They say if you see a piece or addition that doesn't look permanent, it's probably not supposed to be on the machine.
