Greenwood authorities investigate fatal fire

NINETY SIX, SC (FOX Carolina) -

Firefighters and SLED are working to figure out what caused a fire that claimed the life of a man in Greenwood County.

The coroner said an older man was found dead inside a home on Brickyard Road in Ninety Six Tuesday afternoon.

Coroner Sonny Cox identified the man as 72-year-old James Etheredge Sr. and said he died from carbon monoxide poisoning.
