Irmo man wins $1 million in lottery

An Irmo man has won $1 million dollars through the South Carolina Education Lottery.

The man, who declined to be identified, bought the winning ticket at Revis Grocery on North Congress Street in York. He won a $1 million jackpot in the Millionaire Madness scratch-off game.

The odds of his winning were 1 in 1.4 million.

A little more than one week ago, a Manning woman claimed the first $1 million prize in Millionaire Madness. The game rolled out February 25th. One winning ticket worth $1 million remains.

Revis Grocery earned a $10,000 commission for selling the winning ticket.
