COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

The Columbia Fire Department has reopened an intersection in downtown Columbia that was shut down for a possible chemical leak.

The intersection of Main and Blossom Streets was closed at about 9:30 Tuesday morning while crews searched a University of South Carolina building in the area. No chemical leak was found.

The 500 block or Main Street remains closed while crews clear up equipment used in the investigation.

The intersection is open to vehicles and pedestrians.
