Police officers in Spartanburg said a woman was arrested after assaulting a woman by throwing food at her at a McDonalds drive through window.

Police said they were called to the McDonald's restaurant on John B. White Sr. Blvd. on Friday after receiving a complaint about Takara Lewis.

Police said the 24-year-old Lewis and a 22-year-old McDonald's employee had been having an ongoing feud.

On Friday night, Police said Lewis went through the McDonald's drive through and when the victim handed Lewis the food she ordered, Lewis threw the items back at the other woman.

Police said Lewis and two other people then came into the restaurant, where Lewis and the victim exchanged words before police said management asked Lewis to leave.

Lewis was charged with assault and battery third degree, according to jail records.

She was arrested early Saturday morning and has been released from the Spartanburg County Detention Center on a personal recognizance bond.
