Midlands dealership donates car to new hospital

COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

A Midlands Chevrolet dealership has donated a new car to Columbia's newest hospital.

Love Chevrolet donated a 2014 Chevrolet Equinox to the Security Services division of Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge. The gift was made in coordination with Palmetto Health Foundation.

The businesses are located on opposite ends of Parkridge Drive in the Harbison area.

Michael Love, President of Love Automotive Group, and Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge Advisory Council Member said Love Chevrolet was honored to provide the vehicle to the hospital.

"This hospital will be an incredible resource to our region," said Love. "The facility is amazing and will be a beautiful addition to the Harbison community. We, at Love Chevrolet, are honored to provide this vehicle to our new neighbors."

"Love Chevrolet's donation provides and essential resource for Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge," said Samuel Tenenbaum, president, Palmetto Health Foundation. "Patients, families and visitors will be helped by the donation, and we appreciate Love Chevrolet's commitment to the hospital and community."

The vehicle will patrol the campus of Palmetto Health Baptist Parkridge providing assistance and security to patients, visitors, and employees.

Love Chevrolet is family-owned, and has been in business since 1961.

Palmetto Health Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) organization, engages community partners to enhance health care for patients and families served by Palmetto Health.
