COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

The Richland County Legislative Delegation announced Thursday it is accepting applications to fill two vacancies, to replace Samuel Selph and Allen Dowdy on the Richland County Election Commission.

However, Dowdy, the board's chairman, says he remains on the board and hasn't decided if he will continue once his term is up in March.

Chairman of the Richland County Legislative Delegation Rep. Joseph Neal said when he previously talked with Dowdy, he seemed interested in stepping down.

Neal said Dowdy's job would be posted because they want to be prepared if the chairman does step down.

Selph recently stepped down from the board to fill in as the interim elections director after the board voted to fire Howard Jackson earlier this week.

Applicants have until March 6 to apply.
