COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Just over 24 hours since he held a news conference detailing the problems he says he faced as the man in charge of elections in Richland County, SLED officials say Howard Jackson met with them for about an hour Wednesday.

SLED spokesperson Thom Berry confirmed the meeting between Jackson and investigators.

Berry said Jackson turned over information and agreed to provide further information to SLED investigators in the near future.

However, Berry stopped short of saying what kind of information Jackson gave to SLED.

Jackson said during his Tuesday news conference that he had evidence he would be turning over to SLED officials.

"I'll answer any questions under oath, I'll take a polygraph test," said Jackson. "I'll do whatever needs to be done. I just want the truth to come out. I challenge the board members to do the same."

SLED will now review what they've received with the Solicitor's Office and determine if any investigation should be conducted.

Jackson's last day with the Richland County Election Commission is Friday.

Richland County Board of Elections members have still not gone on the record as to why they voted 4 to 1 to remove Jackson.
