Race gives military brides a chance to win wedding dress

Posted: Updated:

The St. Andrews Woman's Club Bridal Showcase has provided "wedding bliss" for future brides and grooms, Midlands-area bridal service providers and community-service and charitable organizations for 32 years.

The Bridal Showcase will feature over 100 booths where exhibitors display their merchandise and services while local brides-to-be comparison shop for the special touches that make their wedding day memorable.

Another event bride to be can be a part of is "Military Race for the Dress." This unique cause gives current engaged military fiancés the opportunity to compete in a race where the finishing line has spectacular wedding dresses to choose from.

Brides will have the opportunity to view the dresses prior to the race, and the first to reach a particular dress at the finish line gets to take that dress home with her for free. You have to register for the show and pay for a ticket to be eligible. Include a 500 word essay, stating why we should choose you to have the opportunity to run for the dress along with pictures of you and your fiancé. Swap out your heels for running shoes, ladies, and win a free wedding dress. You can email RaceForTheDress@gmail.com for more information.
