Man linked to Heather Elvis case says he was shot at

MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - Since the beginning of February, two police reports have been filed concerning threatening actions toward one man, who has been the focus of the social media barrage in the Heather Elvis disappearance case.

A report that was filed with the Georgetown County Sheriff's Office on February 6 states the man was traveling with his wife and kids on Ocean Highway near Georgetown shortly before 10 p.m. Less than a mile from the bridge, a truck sped up behind them and allegedly fired two shots from an automatic firearm.

The man rushed to a nearby gas station to call police. Luckily, no one was injured and there was no damage to their vehicle.

They were not able to identify the potential shooters, but say they were driving a light in color Ford truck.

On Feb. 20, the same man filed a report with Myrtle Beach Police, claiming a truck with two men inside pointed a shotgun at him on North Kings Highway around 1:30 a.m.

The man was taken to the hospital. The men believed to be in that truck are described as white males in their early to mid-thirties, standing between 5'8" and 5'9" tall.
