SWANSEA, SC (WIS) -

A Lexington School District Four high school has returned to normal operations after school officials found a suspicious note in a bathroom.

School district spokesperson Lisa Ingram said students at Swansea High School were evacuated at 11:30 a.m.

Deputies at the Lexington County Sheriff's Department were quickly dispatched to the school to perform a search.

Students were led outside while the Sheriff's Department searched the school. Ingram said all the students are safe and were allowed to re-enter the building just after 12 p.m.

School officials have not revealed the nature of the note.
