RICHLAND COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

Richland County Sheriff's deputies say four teens they arrested are responsible for 17 burglaries in the Summit neighborhood.

Deputies arrested 19-year-old Kelvin Patten, 16-year-old Marcus Morris and two 15-year-olds on burglary charges. Investigators say they received a tip that led them to the arrests.  Patten and Morris were taken to Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.  The 15-year-olds were taken to the Department of Juvenile Justice.

Investigators say the four burglarized several homes over three months beginning in December 2013. They are accused of stealing more than $12,000 in cash and merchandise.

Sheriff Leon Lott says investigators are looking into a possible connection between the four suspects and crimes in Waverly Place, Maywood, Elders Pond, Winchester, Laurel Springs and Autumn Glen.

Mug shots for Patten and Morris are attached to this story. The two 15-year-olds were charged as juveniles and their mug shots will not be released.

If you have any information about other possible crimes involving these teens, call Crimestoppers at 1-888-Crime-SC.
