LEXINGTON COUNTY, SC (WIS) -

A worker at a West Columbia bar turned herself in to Lexington County Sheriff's investigators Thursday after arrest warrants alleged she possessed and operated two video gambling machines inside the bar.

Lexington County Sheriff James Metts said 46-year-old Deborah Lee Truett has been charged with two counts of unlawfully possessing gambling devices.

Metts said Truett operated the machines at the Horseshoe Tavern on Emmanuel Church Road and told employees to pay out cash winnings to those who played and won.

At first glance, the machines appear to be normal video gambling devices.

But there's a catch: they can be changed over to legal machines with the help of a key fob Truett possessed, according to Metts.

Truett's arrest comes after Lexington County investigators raided the West Columbia bar last week and seized the two machines along with $938 in cash.

Truett is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center while awaiting a bond hearing.
